Bring back MARVAN

Marvan is among the very few great cricketers Sri Lanka has ever produced. The question is, are we wasting his talent at the time we badly need him? Then raises the next question - who does it? and for what purpose?

Upul Tharanga failed continuously during the world cup and after playing nine matches his average is very ordinary - 24.33. Why Mahela still reluctant to bring Marvan to replace Tharanga? Is it something personal or a tactic? Only time will answer.

But still Mahela is not that late and Marvan should be brought back to the semifinal against New Zealand. This is not just my voice... but the voice of Sri Lanka and the cricket pundits’...

  1. Yeah, I'm with you. Marvan is a solid player, he can pull off a few boundaries when we need runs and he can keep anchor when we need to keep wickets.

He has the ability to build a partnership with almost anyone and steady the innings. It's a pity to see him just sitting there in the pavillion.

SL have lost their matches against AUS and SA. Even if they win against NZ in semi, final will be a nightmare for them.

Whoever watch the game can say anything about the game. Read some news coming out from players, specially from Sanath. He told that it is the decision of the team of including Marvan to the team. If you go by " he can pull off a few boundaries when we need runs ", even Murali sometimes does the same thing. Let the team to decide and do whatever they want. Just be a gentle spectator.

  4. It's the voice of the Sri Lankan cricketing public who ask for Marvan. This is beginning to be a trend in the country. Mahela needs to be very careful in this case - he will be cursed if not the correct decision taken...
