Sri Lankan president Mahinda Rajapaksha flew to Barbados on 26th April to cheer his team.Sri Lanka Cricket team qualified for a world cup final for the second time in the history and 11 years after the previous occasion in 1996.
Most of the Sri Lankans, from Mahela, Sanath, and Murali to a pettah three-wheeler driver appreciated this move despite heavy criticisms from few opposition members.
Mahinda, highly respected in the country as a practical leader and considered to be the best leader from the independence.
The move to fly to Barbados is never a surprise. Mahinda is so keen to boost the moral of his citizens. He had no hesitation to visit the battle field and to be with soldiers and share their feelings. So it was no surprise, him to visit Barbados to encourage the Sri Lankan Cricket team.
Mahela and the team were thrilled to welcome president in Barbados and have expressed their sincere gratitude.

ReplyDeleteNelson Mandela was a practical Leader as he solved the problem in South Africa. But still the problem in Sri Lanka has not yet ended. Still war is going on. And no sign of peace. No sign of peace. Even the capital of the country is under a great threat. Based on what facts, the original blogger and this mad patriot (may be the blogger himself) say mahinda has created a nightmare to LTTE?

ReplyDeleteThis fellow messing in your blog is not a real cricket fan or anything. He is just frustrated by the correct path this government has taken about LTTE and also your support for it. He shows his frustration in many ways. Putting wired comments regarding cricket is an indication. This shows the state of the LTTE supporters. All tamils support SL cricket team and Mahinda. LTTE which is restricted to a handful of mental cases doesnt represent Tamils and have gone mad than ever.
