Being nominated for Outstanding Young Professional Award - 2007, by ICTA - I got the opportunity to make a speech at National IT-BPO Capacity Summit 2007 - Career Fair, BMICH, Colombo on last Sunday, 2nd September. The majority of the audience were students and school leavers. Basically my speech was about my career and I felt it was a bit of boasting. So, till the last minute I wanted to skip, but organizers never allowed. Anyway at the end I was surprised by the response from the audience. I am happy, they got something from it.
The complete speech can be downloaded from SaveFiles.

ReplyDeleteentrants into our industry. You have told your story to us before, but this text
really was more touching. You really have shown the younger people how important it
is to set goals and objectives and also have plans to acheive those within set
timefarames is so great. Not accepting
things as they turn-up and not allowing the 'fate' to guide yourself are true
features of a strong personality. Prabath...well done!
Students & new entrants..... Believe this and try this, it really works!
