Pakistan sent home... India to follow.

A day which turned 2007 world cup, upside down...

Ireland managed a great win over Pakistan to secure three points in the tournament to send Pakistan home. Also the Indians who boast a lot about winning the world cup was comprehensively beaten by the young Bangladesh side.

India too... will follow Pakistan unless they win the match against Sri Lanka on 23rd March... which will be a tough task for them.

  1. These are two great upsets. This is both good and bad. Good side is, Super 8 will have only 6 competitive sides, making it easy for Sri Lanka to come to the first four places and get selected to the semi finals. Bad side is, two good Asian teams are leaving, so its only Sri Lanka left now who can really give a fight to win the world cup from Asia.

  2. That's true, Yasas... BTW the unexpected win by Bangladesh also made Sri Lanka to work hard for their chances in Super 8 as well. In case we loose against India then the NRR will come into action. Who knows... anything can happen...

Anyway... it's great to hear you guys having practice sessions at home... in case we miss Jayasuriya one of you can fly to Jamaica :)

    From your wife's blog:

"I'm not going to go into details about it simply because I'm just too tired after playing cricket with Vishuddhi..."
