Oracle yesterday unveiled a new version of its free SQL Developer tool.Oracle says the updated SQL Developer offers new features that make it easier for developers to create and debug SQL and PL/SQL code, including a redesigned extensible object browser with newly added filtering capabilities, expanded SQL Plus compatibility and improved Data Grid features.
Also, Oracle unveiled yesterday, the SQL Developer Exchange site, where SQL Developer users can request and rate feature enhancements and share code snippets for building extensions and reports. The site also links to development team blogs, product news and updates.
